The kids are back in school, and I'm just about to pop from this pregnancy. We are getting close to the due date already, and I can't believe it. I swear kids speed up time! Due to blood pressure problems in the past, I will have to be induced most likely three weeks early (just like my past two pregnancies), which I have decided doesn't sound half bad with this Georgia heat!
We still don't have a name for this baby boy number three (poor thing), but he is growing like a weed and right on track. He has no idea what he is being born into with his crazy, big brothers. The boys and I have been quite busy this summer with making short kids videos on some quick family trips (like our trip to the mountains over the Fourth of July).
We even made cooking videos of us making healthy (and not so healthy) recipes like our Peanut Butter Banana Bites, which were a HUGE hit in our house. If you struggle to get your kids to eat, these bites are addicting and full of nutritious ingredients. Check out the video to watch us make them! The recipe is just below here as well (jump to recipe here).
It's been a fun and fast summer with these kids. We've made plenty of memories in the kitchen, on the road, in the garden, and more. I'm thankful for the distraction from this pregnancy (because, Lord, it is HOT), but this summer has also taught me just how fast time goes by as a parent. I'm trying my best to soak in every last minute I have of the boys just being the two of them. I remember feeling the same way about having our second baby, and after dropping them off at pre-k this week, it just hit me all over again that these moments are precious. I have to remember to stop and enjoy our time together every now and then. Not everything has to be about work. All of the clothes don't have to be washed immediately. The dishes will get done eventually.
Peanut Butter Banana Bites Recipe:
Mix together 2 mashed bananas, 2 1/2 cups oatmeal, 1/2 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup chocolate chips, 1 scoop protein (I used unflavored), 2 tbsp honey, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Mold out 20 balls and store in air tight container for up to 3-4 days.

Take the time to make something with the kids, like these energy bites. It was a fun time watching our oldest mix all of the ingredients and get excited about how "sticky" the bites were. I do this because it isn't only encouraging healthy habits (like making your own food), but it's also creating sweet memories with the kids. They are only this little for a short time; I have to remember to embrace it. I'm glad that I have taken the extra time to make these videos this summer. Even if no one else enjoys them, I know that I always will. Plus, the boys love seeing themselves on the TV!
Now, even though I've been busy with the kids, I haven't used that (or this pregnancy) as an excuse to be lazy with my business. As you know, I have my Fit Foodies Subscription, which includes at least ten workout videos and three recipe videos every single month. I plan out when to do what workout and when to make what recipe for the entire month, and yes, I do every single workout. I video, I upload, I edit, I create the online program for you to follow, and I create the easy access pdf for later use. I do all of it. Just me.
I write all of that not for the praise. I write all of that to show that if you really love what you do, it truly doesn't feel like work. Yes, at times, I am dragging (especially with this belly), but I can honestly say that I absolutely love what I do and what I've created. This Whole Health community has been everything I've ever wanted in a business, and I couldn't be more proud of it and our wonderful tribe of ladies. I am so very grateful for all of the continued support from them.
I started this adventure at the beginning of 2020... What a year to start anything, right? I also had a six month old at the time. Our group never complained once about having my toddler or 6 month old in any of my live workouts, my recorded workout videos, or even during my one-on-one personal training sessions. Fast forward to 2021, and we thought the madness would end... Nope. The world is still a mess, and (SURPRISE) baby number three is arriving this October! Again, through the craziness of terrible morning sickness, extreme exhaustion, and some major "pregnancy brain", my Whole Health tribe has consistently surprised me with their loyalty and understanding. I am beyond thankful for our crew.
To show my thanks, occasionally, I give a peek into what it's like to be coached by me. For example, I just posted the recording of my last HIIT Class, which is a full body workout that is 30 minutes long!
If you don't have weights or a step, don't worry, I give you plenty of options and modifications along the way to ensure you still get an amazing workout! If you give it a try, be sure to give the video a like and follow my channel so you can see more free workout videos in the future.
For more workouts and recipes like these, you can join the Fit Foodies Subscription or become a Month to Month Member here. Also, I post plenty of free content on my Facebook and Instagram pages; be sure to go follow!
As I near the end of this pregnancy, and with summer coming to an end, I see a new chapter opening up for me, my family, and my business. For those of you who have been there from the get go, again, I am so thankful for you! Stay tuned for what the year 2022 has in store because it's going to be a good one. I can feel it!
