Raspberry Delight

A great alternative for a cold, summer treat!

This recipe is obviously for the kids AND the adults!

I was trying to figure out another way to make a cold treat for the boys while not over doing it with sugar, and this turned out great! I made a similar smoothie earlier this year, the Raspberry Colada , more so for the adults to play around with drinks by the pool; I'll put the recipe below as well. This recipe is obviously for the kids AND the adults. I used stevia as the sweetener and almond milk for those who are looking for low calorie options, but you could easily switch out your sweetener and/or milk of choice. I enjoyed making this with the boys, and if you watch the video, you can see that they enjoyed it too.

Quick Nutrition Talk: raspberries are a good source of antioxidants!

Raspberry Colada

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen raspberries

  • 1/2 banana

  • 4oz coconut water

Directions

  1. Blend together and enjoy a frozen treat!

*Optional: adults can add 1oz rum before blending and enjoy by the pool or on the beach! Be mindful that liquor has empty calories (1oz of rum = roughly 70 calories), which means there is no nutritional value in these calories.
