Kids Charcuterie Board

Make it simple.

If you have kids, you know that they love to snack all day every day. Mine eat snacks constantly. So, why not make a meal out of it? Charcuterie boards are seriously just Lunchables, if we're being honest. What kid doesn't enjoy a good Lunchables?

This is also fun because the kids get to be hands on in making (while also eating) the board. They chose what goes on there and where they wanted to put each food. They even were festive and used the Halloween cookie cutters on the cheese again! We kept it simple and used things that I knew they liked: ham, cheese, bread, berries, nuts, seeds and grapes. Once my oldest realized he could make his own ham sandwiches like this, he had so much fun making mini sandwiches over and over. Most of everything was eaten, and whatever was leftover went into their lunches for the next day (pictured to the right). I simply added extra ham and crackers to fill up their lunch boxes.

While the kids were eating their board, I turned to the adult version (pictured below), and while mine was not entirely fancy, it was absolutely delicious. Whatever was leftover from the adult board was either added to the kids lunches or stored for later use (easy access snacks).

Dinner doesn't always have to be this well thought out, time consuming meal. This took us ten minutes to make; you can watch us make it below here. Don't stress yourself by choosing difficult meals for every night of the week. Take it easy and lay out some meat, cheese, cracker/bread, fruit and nuts. Everyone is eating off of one big plate too, which means less dishes you have to clean!

Kids Board:

  • 6 slices of deli meat (we had ham)

  • 2 slices of cheese (we had mozzarella & cheddar)

  • 1 big slice of sourdough bread

  • 1/2 cup blueberries

  • 1/2 cup blackberries

  • 1/2 cup raspberries

  • 1 cup grapes

  • 1/4 cup cashews
